    The Tarrant County Law Enforcement Association (TCLEA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving and protecting Tarrant County sworn and civilian law enforcement personnel employed by the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office, Constable Offices, District Attorney's Office, Fire Marshal's Office and Medical Examiner's Office. TCLEA is a member of the Combined Law Enforcement Association of Texas (CLEAT), which has more than 27,000 members across Texas.

    WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO JOIN TCLEA?

    Most members of TCLEA are employed by Tarrant County in the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office, Constable Offices, District Attorney's Office, Fire Marshal's Office and Medical Examiner's Office. TCLEA members also include law enforcement personnel from Tarrant County-affiliated law enforcement agencies like JPS Hospital Police and Tarrant County College Police. In addition, personnel from law enforcement agencies throughout Tarrant County are eligible to join TCLEA. Membership is open to sworn peace officers, detention officers, adult/juvenile probation officers, dispatchers, civilian crime scene investigators and other civilian employees. In addition, Federal law enforcement officers stationed in Texas, retired peace officers residing in Texas are eligible for membership.
