2024-12/06 ----- TWO TARRANT COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES STRUCK BY VEHICLE |

YOUTUBE NEWS VIDEO ---- On Thursday December 6, 2024 at approximately 6:20 p.m., two off-duty Tarrant County Sheriff’s Deputies were working traffic in the 700 block Westport Parkway in the City of Haslet near the Amazon Distribution Center. As they directed traffic, they were struck by a vehicle. Both deputies were injured and transported to local hospitals in non-life-threatening condition. The driver of the suspect vehicle stayed on scene and was not arrested. Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigators are handling the case. Deputies are members of the Tarrant County Law Enforcement Association (TCLEA). TCLEA leaders responded to the hospitals to provide support and assistance to the deputies and their family members.

ARTICLE ---- Secaucus, New Jersey police officers spotted Tito Correa, 50 of Fort Worth, walking in the street through moving traffic and made contact with him. A warrant check showed he was wanted by the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) for Arson. He was arrested on the warrant and held for extradition by TCSO’s Warrants Division, which includes deputies who are members of the Tarrant County Law Enforcement Association.

ARTICLE ---- TCSO Livestock Estray Enforcement Program (LEEP) deputies were dispatched to the City of Arlington to assist Arlington Police with a crash involving a tractor trailer full of cattle which crashed and overturned killing and injuring several. LEEP is a specialized unit within the TCSO Patrol Division based out of the North Patrol station in Lake Worth. TCSO’s LEEP team works to roundup loose livestock which may present a danger to drivers, pedestrians and the animals themselves. LEEP deputies are members of TCLEA.
